V3 modem issues

I have a V3 modem, light permanently red now and gets hot, having issues with WiFi connection, sometimes none there,other times connects at 30 ish mbs,then 200 ish mbs, was asked on email to upgrade to new V4 version, ordered it on website and it never arrived  ??? Few months ago now, big speed issues most of day, get the dredded spinning circle buffering etc, have 500mb package, looking for a Moderator to get replaced please 😕

Hi there @Paul2425, thanks for reaching out to us.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the hub 3.
With it being a red light and getting hot, it does cause some concern.

I just need to ask the following: 
Is the hub well ventilated?
Is it in an open area away from direct sunlight?
Have you taken out all the cables and placed them back in then rebooted the VM hub 3?
