On our wavelength

Hi. Had a repull done whilst I was not home so no tech could check after. Initially had low downstream as low as -10. New info below could anyone tell me if this is now okay or I need an internal tech visit to sort anything after this repull

You need a technician’s visit, probably needs work at the street cabinet.

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web page http://www.virginmedia.com/servicechecker although this only covers large outages.

VM will not dispatch any technicians when an area fault exists.

If no faults found:

Call Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post.

Sure bud will do. Thank you.

Hi. Engineer came but didn’t do anything. Said everything’s fine. Mentioning the upstream QAM levels he said it’s normal to use 16 sometimes and it can just vary. Was this correct or just a fob?

Thanks for coming back to us @calumwarren, how has your connection been running since the technician visit?

Regards,

Steven_L

Hi Steven

Engineer said upload QAM is okay at 16? Upload been shooting to 52mb then slowly falls down to 2mb ish by the end of the test.

im not home but I’ll submit the stats soon as I return.

Thanks for checking in. Much appreciated.
