Is there any router settings to get rid of "This site can’t provide a secure connection"?

A web browser such as Chrome is behind that message, the browser's security settings are enforcing HTTPS (secure connections).

That message should not appear for any of the banks or well known retailers.

No, there is no Hub setting to disable the “Not secure” warning shown by browsers, and nor is it required because:

  • your are connecting to the Hub from within your home network
  • your home network uses private IP Address space, i.e. devices cannot be addressed directly over the internet, so a miscreant cannot connect to your Hub from their network

Hi Haviland, thanks for the message and welcome to the forums.

I am sorry to hear that you are getting the message- This site can’t provide a secure connection.

Can you confirm if this happens with one site or multiple and does happen across multiple browsers?

Kind regards, Chris
