Hi folks, hope you can help before I tear my hair out 😂
About 15 months ago I installed a Tenda MW12 mesh system onto my virgin hub 3, putting the hub into modem mode.
All ran wonderfully until Tuesday this week when I noticed the internet was dropping out. Rebooting the hub and mesh restores connection. However this is now happening all the time, the internet could be up for 10 mins or 1 hour then drops out.
I have tried several things to try and resolve.
- I’ve changed the cable between the mesh and the hub 3
- I’ve reset both the Tenda & hub 3 with the little pin hole
- I’ve tried putting the hub 3 back into router mode and using the mesh in bridge mode
- I’ve swapped the main Tenda unit with another one in the mesh
all without success.
I also can’t access the hub at 192.168.100.1 when connected - maybe this is part of my problem?!
can anyone shed any light on what maybe going on? I called virgin and was promised a call back yesterday but that never happened.

Are you sure the VM hub is in modem mode? What colour is the LED on the hub?
