TPLink Deco M4 internet connection dropping out

Throttle
Tuning in

Hi

Ive got the Deco M4 3 pack and im happy with speed and its range yet at least 3 times a day it will drop internet connection.

Ive tried things like different DNS settings and resetting them and starting the Deco 1st thats linked with the Superhub 3 for 5 minutes before starting the Hub 3 yet it still seems to do it.

Had anyone had this and know a fix before i return them 😕

Yes I have a deco m4 and am having same problem. All the providers are much the same you are on a shared system and when it has high demand it will drop out. I’ve tried complaining to the providers but they don’t have any answers. I’ve been with vodaphone by and now virgin. Bt were the best for service and virgin the worst. I’m fed up with virgin now. All they keep saying is reboot. I have a Bose speaker system which I use for my business ie the music and it keeps dropping out. You’ll find it’s the provider that drops the internet.

If you haven’t already, set up a free, secure and “offlsite” - “Broadband Quality Monitor” to continually monitor the state of your connection and record any true network dropouts , latency issues, packet drops, etc - it will thus allow you to differentiate between those and simple wifi dropouts. It does it 24/7/365 and it keeps a visual record of any/all of your network disconnections, useful data to have to match to the Network logs (in your Hub settings) and also in discussions with VM - note it will take a few hours to start seeing a sensible picture - post up the “link” to the “share live graph”. Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate. Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see. On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon) In the URL box paste the link you copied and then click OK

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Tbh i was using Huawei AX3 Quad core before the M4 and they was very stable, it’s all the units just drop for a min and reconnect which if your in mid or a film or a online game is a big nuisance 😖

I find the M4 had much better range than the Huawei hence the swap yet debating swapping back and returning the M4 if things don’t improve.

I’ll look into that 👍

Hi Throttle,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm very sorry to hear about the issues you've had with dropping connection.

How has the service been since your post?
