Re: T3 and post rs errors SH3 350

HI Kensands,

It does need an engineer visit so I'll PM you to arrange.

Kind regards,

Re: T3 and post rs errors SH3 350

Update, engineer came round today and despite the awful rain did a good job, he checked and found the cable is indeed damaged (shorting to ground somewhere between me and the "pit" along the street), and someone will be out to replace it in a week. He also replaced the fittings at the box while here as they had seen better days and one cable was heavily kinked at the connection. Credit to him, very professional, understood the issue straight away and found the fault. Shame it takes so much pain and effort to get to this point, but I can't fault the engineer in any way.

I'll (hopefully) post on this thread only once more in just over a week when the cable is replaced and fingers crossed all will be good.

Re: T3 and post rs errors SH3 350

Thanks for getting back to us kensands and happy to hear that the physical cause has been identified.

Please keep us updated and let us know if you experience further issues after the cable has been replaced.

Regards,

Re: T3 and post rs errors SH3 350

Hi all,

I would just to add that I am having this EXACT same issue, and have been since Friday, however noone at virgin has been able to diagnose/identify/address the issue aside from swapping out my hub.

I would be EXTREMELY grateful if someone from virgin would be able to help me here. I'm experiencing the same messages and high levels of post errors as the OP.

Thanks.

Re: T3 and post rs errors SH3 350

New cable in, the power levels have all gone from -3 to 0 to all being +1 to +3, all seems fine, I'll post later today with numbers after a few hours.

Re: T3 and post rs errors SH3 350

Yup all good, no drops at all today and after a few hours there have been no post rs errors at all, and the pre rs are in the normal and expected tens rather than the tens of thousands! Again getting things fixed was a way too drawn out and painful process but it can be done, hope this thread and results help others.

Re: T3 and post rs errors SH3 350

Please raise a separate post. It’s exceeding difficult to answer when multiple people are reporting what they think is the same problem when the root cause may be entirely different.
