Super hub 3 and Wi-Fi issues

Basically getting really poor speeds, disconnects and drop outs on my MacBook Pro over Wi-Fi. Yet on iPhones speeds were much higher. Trying to ping superhub and half the packets were timing out.

I know the following hasn’t fixed it but it did help... option clicked on Wi-Fi icon on Mac and saw it was 2.4ghz. Thought that’s weird. Logged into router and both 2.4 and 5 ghz were turned on. Turned off 2.4 to force 5 ghz then speeds doubled and drop outs ceased. So my question.... why was I connecting/broadcasting over 2.4 when 5 was available as well. Is there a way to leave both on and connect to 5 ghz?

Re: Super hub 3 and Wi-Fi issues

give them separate ssid's and you then choose which one to connect to - worth turning off smart wifi as well
