Stuck in Hub5 password reset loop

I am experiencing an identical problem to, but the solution was never shared publicly and the thread is now locked. Could it please be shared to help me and anyone else who comes across this? Thank you.

TL;DR: Every time I access the Hub5 from any browser on any platform I am shown the "Hello! Please choose your language to continue screen", which just ignores whatever settings are subsequently set such as passwords etc, and won't allow access to the admin console whatsoever. I need to set up a guest network ASAP and can't, please advise.
