Static IP address in Hub 3

I have an HP Envy 4507 Printer. I wish to use HPs ePrint service. This requires that the printer wakes up when an email is sent to it.

I understand that I need to set a static IP address for the printer on my home network

In The Hub 3 I see that 192.168.0.10 to 192.168.0.254 are assigned to DHCP.

I think I need to give my printer a static IP address of, say, 192.168.1 23.

Can anyone please tell how to do this?

I have gone into the HP Envy 4507 via IP address 192.168.0.23 and landed in a Utilities webpage. Among the buttons is a create static IP address.

Pressed this and got an IP 192.168.0.249. Logged into this IP and got a text page printed - wonder why this print says URL:http://192.168.223.1?

Tried ePrint; got an email saying ePrint Job Received. But no print and printer did not wake up.

Any advice please?

rather than using the button to generate a static address, manually configure it (via the same management pages you were on before) to:

IP: 192.168.0.4

subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

default gateway: 192.168.0.1

dns1: 8.8.8.8

dns2: 8.8.4.4

apply the settings and then browse to 192.168.0.4 to confirm the printer is now on the new address.

go to the eprint settings and print out the info page.

I have set up my printer as you advised. I then send a couple of ePrints from different email address, one of which was my gmail account. Both printed.

However when I tried from my wife's gmail account two try's failed.?

Double check that the email address you are sending to is correct...

Yes is was mis-spelt.

Thank you for your advice.
