Slow speeds on Wifi and certain services aren't working

Gig1jambo
On our wavelength

A technician visited a week or so ago, all was going smoothly since.  Last night our old problems returned but seemingly worse.  High pings/drop outs of internet and intermittent slow speed.

Ethernet seems fine in terms of speed currently, but oddly enough, I can't connect to the virgin media website, I just get a message:

Certain services aren't working either - Chat functions in a couple of game launchers (Blizzard & Origin).  My wife can't connect to her work's VPN and is having to use her phone as a hotspot to allow it to work.

Hi Gig1jambo,

Thanks for coming back to the community. I am sorry to hear of the issues raised. The bad request message - clear cache/cookies that should solve that. There's no issues showing on our system at all, is it just WiFi issues you're having? Best,

WiFi still not working. It just now says connected to the network without Internet.

It's intermittent but no clue why its behaving this way. Ethernet seems fine.

You could try a pin hole reset, has been known to fix the odd problem.

Hi @Gig1jambo, thanks for posting and welcome back to our community.

I am sorry to hear that your WiFi is not working for you.  As Tudor has advised, a pin hole reset does clear many issues.  As it essentially takes your hub back to factory settings, it's best to ensure you always have a copy of the default WiFi password.  You can learn more about the pin hole reset here.  You can also find some useful tips here.  However, as you've reached out on here, I would like to take a closer look on your behalf.  I am going to send you a private message. Please look out for the purple envelope in the top right of your screen.

Regards
