I guess no replies here means that there is not much wrong with Super Hub apart from the network errors.
Wondering whether to put the Super Hub into router mode and change my router (Asus RT n66U) into an access point.Might clarify whether the router is part of the problem before I ring 150. Good idea?

Another day, but still the same problem with slow speeds during the evening:

OK during the day - download speed 65-70 Mbits

Same picture with call quality - OK during the day. Falls apart at night.

Starting to look a lot like network congestion to me.

Virgin Customer Service report that there is a network congestion problem in my area. Unable say how long it will take to fix. Too many customers signed up not enough capacity. Sounds like broadband has been oversold in the area.

(not sure why this post hS been marked as solved. It's not)

Helpful technician has now visited and installed an MDU signal booster which has improved the upstream power levels and upgraded to Hub 3.

The peak network congestion issues are still there I think. So remains to be seen whether I can now stream during the evenings without buffering etc.

You had noise on the line, post some more stats to see if it's been remedied.
