I am hardwired to my hub 3.0 on a 1 gig connection to hub and 100mb download but my Skype quality is dreadful. I can't even make a simple video call. Makes me want to go back to normal broadband. Any ideas?
Does this issue affect any more applications on your computer other than Skype? Are you using Skype via the app or logging in via a web browser to do this?
If you're using the app, please could you try to clear the cache in the app to see if this resolves the issue. Please give this a try and let me know if it improves the situation at all.
It's running on Windows 10 as an app so not quite sure if you can clear cache but quality is terrible.
I believe I've found a way to do so for an app on windows 10, if this doesn't work for this app you may just need to try uninstall the app and reinstall it.
Settings > System > Apps and Features > Locate the app you want to reset > Click the 'Advances Options' link under the app name > Click 'Reset' > Click a second 'Reset' to confirm.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you, Emily.
It made no difference. Still shocking quality. Even opened all the ports skype recommend and it;s still rubbish.
We are sorry to hear that things are not any better Phil.
Are you only having issues with Skype?

Web pages can be slow sometimes to load and if more than 2-3 people are using the hub Sometimes I just give up.
For 100mb it's pretty rubbish.
Would you be able to perform the speeds which you are receiving over a wired connection and post the results on here please?
You can find some help in performing a speed test here

If other devices are connected do you see a fluctuation in the speed at all?
Has the Skype program had any needed updates?
