Signal Level too low?

SILEeeles
On our wavelength

Been having issues with internet for a while - spotty connection occasionally and internet activity causing interference with the TV signal - I'm fairly certain my signal dBmV is far too low while using the splitter provided. When removing the splitter it runs much better but obviously this removes the ability to use the TV at the same time.

Downstream channel 5 is way too low and the Upstream are all too high.  You also have noise on the circuit, as noted by the PostRS errors.

A VM technician will be needed to sort this out.

Are these stats with the splitter or without out the splitter ???

Downstream Power and SNR are fine.  There are Pre & Post errors which may be due to recent cable disconnection / reconnections.

Upstream Modulation mode is fine, but the Hub is transmitting at a power level that is above the preferred range.

Hi @SILEeeles

Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community.

I am sorry for the broadband issues. You do need a technician visit, this is because your Upstream levels are out of specification.

I will send you a PM now to assist further.

Best wishes.

Let’s get it right:

1) downstream power levels are all fine

2) down SNR problem on channel 5

3) all upstream power levels are too high and out of spec

4) Probably noise also on channel 5 downstream.
