Re: Setting the time to BST on Hub 3.0

Thanks for this Big Stevie. Not very helpful a response is it?  Interesting that my PC, which uses internet time, is fine but then I don't understand why receiving a call resets the phone time.

Me neither. There should be an override function.

The PC is using NTP protocol and gets the correct time from an NTP server. I usually use uk.pool.ntp.org for my kit.

To correct the Hub 3 VM would have to implement NTP into the firmware.

This is yet another reason for using Modem Mode, and getting a decent router.

That wouldn't change anything to do with this though. The Hub 3 phone lines are separate to the router functions - so doesn't matter if the Hub is in modem mode or router mode.

The Hub 3 phone lines mirror the behaviour of 'old school' lines to ensure they're compatible with standard landline handsets, so the time signal will part of the way that's being done.

This is something that Virgin Media will have to look into and correct so that it behaves the same way as their other landlines do. It's quite possible they're already doing so.

Re: Setting the time to BST on Hub 3.0

Shall I contact Virgin and tell them about my problem?

It couldn't hurt. Perhaps if enough people complain, they might actually do something about it.
