Samsung TV connection issues

Purchased a new Samsung TV and can't get it to connect to the hub 3.0 connects fine to my mobile hotspot and have used that to update firmware.

Samsung support no help say the problem is with virgin, possibly a firewall.

Tried changing DNS settings.

Google tells me this is an issue but so far has not provided a solution.

Re: Samsung TV connection issues

Your TV might not be capable of connecting to the 5Ghz band, so split the hub's bands by giving different names to the SSIDs and try to connect onto 2.4Ghz.

Re: Samsung TV connection issues

Best to connect the TV to the hub by Ethernet cable, then.

Re: Samsung TV connection issues

The only 'issue' is that a TV, particularly 4k as most new TVs are, requires a strong and steady signal to provide a solid picture.

On WiFi, unless it is in the same room as the standard VM Hub it is unlikely to work as you would wish.  An ethernet connection is always preferable.
