SYNC Timing Synchronization failure

I have been getting these errors on and off for a about a couple months.  Having researched this online I came across this forum and see that there are many posts detailing the same issues.  It appears the general consensus is a cabling/hardware issue either inside or outside the house, but an engineer visit is usually required. 
Having had, how shall we put, not the best experience with calling VM in the past, I was hoping to try a different avenue for support.
I also WFH so need a stable Internet connection and have to say up until recently it has been very reliable.

I work in IT and have done so for many years, and whilst I am no expert in networking I know enough to do some basic troubleshooting and diagnosis.

I should also state that my Hud is in Modem mode with a Netgear WiFi router and there is nothing wrong with this, the issue is definately with the Virgin Hub/Cabling.

I have tried all the usual things;

1. Checked all cabling inside the house to make sure all connections are hand tight, which they are.
2. Rebooted on multiple occassions, including at least once disconnecting power for several minutes.

What I haven't done is a factory reset on the Hub as

1. It's a pain to have to reset everything up and takes a lot of time to then have to set everything back up and hope it's all ok. 
2. I am not conviced this will do anything if the issue lies with cabling as suggested in the dozens of forum posts I have read about these errors.

I have copied below the logs from the Hub and I can see these aren't as bad as others, but I am concerned this could just be the start of the issue getting increasingly worse.  After the last time this happened, I have gone about 5 days with no error's on the bub at all.  Originally it was maybe happening about 8-10 times a day with a very brief drop in Internet, which whilst annoying, can live with.  Today however, I lost about an hours work as it was just continually dropping.  Weirdly I am still getting the errors now but Internet connection seems to be stable for the moment.

I am hoping someone from Virgin can arrange an engineer visit so I don't have to through the rigmorole of trying to explain to someone who is following a script that I know a bit about IT and have done all the normal troubleshooting to no avail...

So, it’s been nearly 2 weeks since my last (and hopefully final) engineer visit.  Apparently they changed the port for my connection in the exchange and tweaked something, I don’t know what.  I am probably tempting fate by posting now, but so far so good.

I left it deliberately before posting as the last two times it was about 9 days after the issues reoccurred.

I had quite a long chat with the engineer and explained my frustration at what seems to be a common error reported on these forums, yet Virgin Media don’t seem to recognise it as a recurring issue to identify a solution.  I think this is very poor customer support. 

He told me he was going to escalate the issue to the Networks Team, and asked me if I wanted him to let me know if there was any update, which I I obviously said yes to.  Nothing yet!  (I won’t hold my breath - I am not naive enough to think he was saying anything just to try and keep me happy!!)

Coincidentally, I just received a text from VM stating there are maintenance work scheduled in my area on 6th October, but I don’t know if this is related or just coincidence.

Hopefully this is the end of it, but for anyone else having these problems and reading this post, just don’t let them fob you off and keep on at them.  So to summarise this is what I am a aware of them doing to fix my issues;  Replace hub and all internal wiring, attenuators and splitter, replace external attenuator, change port in local exchange and tweaked settings (don’t know what).  

The final solution seems to be whatever they did outside though.
