SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Loss of Sync

On our wavelength

Hi  Guys

Hope someone can point me in the right direction, I have this problem of frequent disconnections on both wi-fi and ethernet, my home network seems stable enough its just the internet connection that seems to drop off at random time, the frequency of this happening has seemed to increase over the last few week. I have  spoken to support and all I have received is to reset the hub, this doesn't seem to work,  I have read here I may need an engineer, but the support team don't seem want to send anyone,

I enclose an extract from the error log it seems similar to other I see on here. any advise would be most welcome

regards

Stewart

Hi Stewart,

Sorry to see that you are still experiencing these frequent outages, I have booked an engineer appointment for you to get this issue resolved.

I will send you a private message with the details of your engineer appointment and to confirm your address, please look out for the purple envelope in the top right corner.

Best wishes,

Serena

Has anyone asked you to check for loose connections? Worth a shot.

Turn the hub off, tighten connection on both ends. Or if you want to be thorough, unscrew and retighten both ends.

Failing that, you've got to be insistent that an engineer needs to visit. There's some pressure if an Internet connection is imperative to your job, for example.

That is one horrible network log, and I've marked for the forum staff to advise.  But you've made things needlessly complicated for people trying to help you by starting a new post rather than sticking to your other thread, so (for example) the access control issues that may be important for a technician are only mentioned in the previous thread.

Hi @stewartrea,

Welcome to our Community Forums and thanks for posting.

I am sorry to hear you are having problems with frequent disconnections with your service. I have a taken a look at the account and we have been unable to identify any issues this end. Everything on our live system is in the green and all your signal levels are looking good. I have also checked the latency in your area and there's no issues.

Please can you set up a BQM so we can monitor things for you?

A BQM is a “Broadband Quality Monitor” and it continually monitors the state of your connection and records any network dropouts.  It does it 24/7/365 and it keeps a visual record of your connection.

We advise to keep it running for around 24-48 hours to gather enough data. You can then post a link to your live BQM on this thread and we can check for any disconnections or drop out you advise you're experiencing.

Thank you

Public apology time: I think I've confused @stewartrea with another user with a similar user name.  If that's the case then I offer a Hancockesque apology for my comments on the multiple threads.

No worries matey I'm sure you were just trying to help, although I did wonder as my only other post is for a virgin sim card, a tad confused was I,  but thanks for your input.

I set this one up last evening

My BQM

Sit tight for one of the VM forum team to come back to you - they can sort an engineer appointment if you need one.

Strange question, is it a Hub 3 with a textured surface?

Yes

Thought I would post my error log for this lunchtime
