SH3 issues with T3 time outs and SSID auto resetting

sniperdude
Fibre optic

Could someone from VM please have a look at my Router/Modem  and see if you can find any issues?

I split me WIFI bands up so I have 2 SSIDs but lately randomly they have been reverting to default for some odd reason ( meaning I have to setup my WIFI network again )

Having to set up the network is a pain because I use WIFI controlled lights and 4 Alexa devices and such.

Not only that but wired Ethernet PC has just been having issues connecting when the WIFI is working fine.

During investigating I have noticed a lot of T3 time outs.

PS the router was factory reset a few days ago.

Sounds like a firmware bug!

have you disabled Intelligent Wifi? - This has been known to cure this issue!

Hub 3 - Modem Mode - TP-Link Archer C7

Only setting close to it I can find is "Smart WIFI" I have just disabled that and will see how it goes.

Thanks for the reply and advice

That's the one I meant - I get confused by the different terms for it!

Keeps us posted!

Only sure fire way of stopping this sort of issue is to take it all out of the hands of the VM firmware coders forever... and use the Hub in modem only mode and your own router and wireless equipment.

I did that ~20 years ago and never looked back and never had any issues whatsoever

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Yeah I see loads do that, I can honestly say I haven't had any issues like this before.

I factory reset and setup with Smart Wifi disabled

I had a 6DB attenuator on the modem I have taken off and not clocked up and T3 time outs in the past 24 for hours since

Downstream power about 6 across all channels with SnR 40

Upstream power 43

Will see how it goes now .

Cheers for replying
