Router / wifi issues

Hi,

Our router seems to keep resetting itself randomly throughout the day. Bottom white light flashes then the middle 3 green lights come on and slowly go out.

There are times the laptops either won't connect to the wifi or they have full wifi signal but no connection.

I ran the diagnosis test from the hub homepage and got this. I was sitting right next to the hub with the laptop.

Re: Router / wifi issues

We're having same issue, I thought there were problems in July when we were away and I couldn't always connect to security cameras at home.

Since start of August I've been keeping a record of when the router has dropped connection when I've been at home. It's been nearly everyday throughout August and that's based on me only been in early morning/evenings! It's as if the router is rebooting itself as it's usually only down for a couple of minutes.

Today it's just gone off again but this time it's rebooted twice within 5 minutes.

I'm going to try and get through to virgin media as it seems since they announced their raising prices again, broadband has started playing up!!!!

Re: Router / wifi issues

Please raise separate post, if extremely difficult to reply when the symptoms may look the same, but the root cause could be entirely different.

Please go into your hub on 192.168.0.1 and post your up/downstream stats and network log (on separate posts).

Re: Router / wifi issues

Spoiler
Thanks I was going to raise a separate post but when I started typing the new subject I just get a list of similar issues.

Anyway been in touch with virgin media today and seems there's been an ongoing issue in our area for some time and been worked on, despite the status on the app stating all ok

P.s. as an AP I understand both thanks!

Re: Router / wifi issues

Stats are fine. Possibly noise ingress in your area. Phone customer services and report the problem.
