Remove old box - dangerous?

Hello,

I have an old brown Virgin Media box on the front of my house that must have been installed by the previous owner. It has lost it’s cover so the wiring and cabling is exposed and looks dangerous. Would it be possible for an engineer to remove it or make it safe?

I doubt if VM will remove the outer box in case any future owners take VM services.  The wiring is not dangerous in any case.  If you wait a few days a VM mod will pick this up and arrange for an engineer to secure a new cover for the box.

Hi Eharrison2022, thanks for your post. 

 

As advised above we wouldn't be able to arrange the removal of the box - but it should definitely be tidied up.

 

So we can get that sorted out I will contact you via PM - just look out for the purple envelope & we'll take it from there.
