I have also had a solid red light on my hub 3 for the past few months now, despite being located in a totally open and well ventilated area and the hub itself does not feel remotely hot. Have tried restarting manually, as well as rebooting in the app but this does not resolve the issue.
On top of this the Wi-Fi booster speeds are really slow in comparison to what I am paying for (around 40 mbps vs 350 mbps as included in the broadband package) and connectivity seems to be very patchy.
Please advise

thanks for your post.
Sorry to see you are having issues with the speed and the red light on your hub. I have checked our system and cannot see any obvious reason as to why you would be seeing this issue.
I am going to send you a PM to confirm your details so this can be investigated further.
