Powerline Booser

I use BT Powerline Ethernet Extenders., and have been for several years for consoles in upstairs bedrooms.

As we get hardly any WiFi upstairs, Virgin sent us out a WiFi booster. However since then, none of my BT Ethernet extenders work now.....I have 4 of them and none connect.

When I connect my PC it says "Unidentified Network", and wont connect to my Broadband.

I have just tried to reset mt BT boosters, with the Virgin Booster unplugged reconnect them, but still wont work.

My WiFi now doesn't work at all unless the Virgin Booster is plugged in.....no devices will connect.

So, I've gone from having limited/no WiFi UPSTAIRS, to having no WiFi at all unless this bloody Virgin Booster thing is plugged in, and can't use my Ethernet Powerlines....so EVERYTHING is running off the Virgin Booster it seems???

Re: Powerline Booser

Can you setup your old setup without the Virgin Booster and get it working?

Re: Powerline Booser

No. I've tried.

My power line adaptors can no longer connect to my hub...or booster.  I do the sync bit.....they appear to be connected (lights on etc) .....plug the ethernet cable in to powerline and console/PC......just says "unidentified Network" .....

Hi

"When I connect my PC it says "Unidentified Network", and wont connect to my Broadband."

What/Which BT ones are they exactly please.

It may be that your configuration needs changing.

Turn off / shutdown, unplug them all, then plug in and turn them back on
