Poor wifi

Sitting here 6ft away from my router whilst typing this post but I’m using my mobile signal because I can’t get anything from WiFi!!! Phoned virgin media today, and they said there wasn’t an issue just I have a lot of  wireless devices connected (thought that was the point!) so I’m paying £84 a month for what???? Thinking of switching to BT as I am not getting any help from Virgin!!!

don't confuse WIFI with internet, they are NOT the same thing.

is your internet ok? you can only test that by using an ethernet cable.
also, how many WIFI devices do you actually have connected?

Yeah thanks, I get that about WiFi and internet, I have 16 devices connected

Do you have all of the devices using WiFi? If so, can you attach some using ethernet cables? You will need to buy a switch if you are going to attach more than 4 of them.

This will improve your bandwidth on WiFi for your remaining devices. The wired devices will be more reliable.

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community. 

Really sorry you're having some issues with your WiFi recently, this ins't what we like to hear. 

Have you had a look at our Virgin Media connect app to see if things improve? You can connect to the hub, run fault tests and scan the home for any troubled areas - this will allow you to order a booster if needed. 

If that doesn't help then 
you can text our cable specialists on 07533051809 we’ll be able to get this sorted out for you. Texts are free for Virgin Media customers, and we’re open 8am-7pm Monday - Friday.

you didn't answer the question about speed test whilst connected via ethernet.
