Hi there,
I have an unknown IP address on my network that I would like to pause (one to test if this is really one of my devices that I am not aware off)
However, when I try to pause on the app for the hub 3 it just hangs and does nothing until I close it down. Is there a fault with this function?

Theres is a fault with VM adding this function in the first place.
The App and listing your devices has never worked right.

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with pausing a device.
You should be able to do this via the Connect App.
Open the Connect app’s Broadband tab, select the **Hub 3** or **Hub 4** > or the device you want to pause > **Pause Device**. To let them back online again, move the switch back from right to left.
Let us know how that goes.
