Pass through stopped working

I had a netgear ac2400 router that used to work well till I got the latest router from virgin, now pass through or router mode don't work.

Any recommended modems or extenders for a Mac m1 user?

Connect only a PC to the hub and put it in modem mode you may need to power off the hub for 2mins or as you wait for internet unplug replug Ethernet cable.

Then connect your PC to the netgear ac2400 login find in internet/WAN settings MAC clone and copy your MAC to the router then connect router WAN port to hub.
