Packet loss

Hi,

I am experiencing packet loss in the 5%-30% range which has ongoing for the last few weeks. The PC is connected to the hub via ethernet (no WiFi). I've tried resetting the hub and putting it in modem mode without any success. The packet loss is between me and the first IP on the other side of the cable line i.e. it's not the general internet.

Here are the stats from the router:

Re: Packet loss

Your power levels are too low on most of the downstream channels, all you can do yourself is check all the cable connections inside and in the wall box on the outside wall where the cable comes in and make sure they are all nice and tight (just finger tight, no need to get carried away with a spanner) and no obvious sign of damage. Other than that, you'll need an engineer visit, either call up and insist on one or wait for a member of the forum team to get to this thread (may take a day or so) and they should offer to contact you directly to arrange something.

Re: Packet loss

Morning dch,

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you're having some issues with the hub, I've run a health check of the hub and the downstream power is showing to be out of spec as jem101 has suggested.

I've popped you over a private message so I can get a few more details from you to arrange a technician.
