Packet loss, Wigan area

Hi

In the last week or so I've noticed unusual hangs during dns resolution and some other spotty behaviour and started troubleshooting. Running traceroute/mtr on a bunch of places - virgin's own dns server, 8.8.8.8, a personal vps etc. I've noticed pretty significant packet loss. Example:

Is this a known issue here?

Whilst looking at my recently replaced SH3 settings I noted that 'IP Flood Detection' was defaulted to 'On'.

Disabling it for me has resulted in the constant 10% packet loss from 10.53.39.93 dropping to 0%

This setting is there for a reason, so I won't advise what you do other than research the extremely valid reasons for having it enabled and perhaps do a quick test for yourself...

Wow, I thought I was the only one seeing this, I've been pulling my hair out over this.

For me, Discord is playing up, it lags out every minute or so, some websites (not all) just fail to respond in a timely fashion. Facebook constantly notifies me that I've disconnected from the internet, reconnected.

Rebooted everything (running in Modem mode), REPLACED my own router, same deal.

EDIT: Also hanging off Wigan - 10.53.39.93

Yup - Wigan appears to be borked - Yet VM seem reticent to admit to it! - There have been so many posts in the last day all with similar BQMs (massive lag and massive packet-loss) all in the Wigan area.

Usually the hub stats seem to look OK from a power perspective!

Actually, it seems OK for me today, seems to be taking a different AE bundle.
