Not enough ethernet ports for a data cable to my Mac

Because of increased smart devices I have now run out of ethernet ports on my VIrgin Hub. I need another port for my garden cabin data connection. I have tried a splitter but it only uses one socket. Any idea how I fix it? Andrew
