No internet router says access denied!

I have no internet at the moment. When I login to the router it says ‘access denied’ next to the up and down arrows. I’ve read a few threads about this and it may be something to do with a faulty cable or something. When I called VM they wouldn’t talk to me and just said that there’s a fault in my area and it’ll be fixed in a week. I know that’s not true and I know this problem is different. There’s no fault on the service status at all. And every body else who has experienced this had to have a technician come out but they keep saying it’s a fault in my area. I know that if I wait a week it still won’t work.

Please help

Hi Topdrog88,

 

Thank you for using the Community in raising your internet and router issue.

 

An outage shouldn't affect you logging into your router. Do you recall changing your passcode in it?

 

Our service status checks an entire area in general. So when you called, the representative checked your specific address and they found there's a fault in it.

 

Just to ask, has there been any change with your services since your post?
