No internet access for hours at a time

Over the last few days I have been disconnected for hours at a time..yesterday went off at Midday came on for a couple of hours this morning gone off again now..this has been the pattern over the last 5 days or so. I have contacted Virgin Media who are sending a new router ( I am not convinced this will solve) I have just ran a test and it said router was off, when it wasn't!  Previous test 5 mins before said there was no problem with connection Any ideas?IMG-20190316-WA0003.jpg

I am on 200  I ran speed test on think broadband the results were

Re: No internet access for hours at a time

Upload speed is right but you should be at 200+ on a wired connection. Most likely there is something limiting on your device - what make/model is it. Does it have a gigabit network card (not limited to 100mbps) or is it just a 10/100 card? Are all the drivers up to date? If the answer is yes, boot it into safe + networking mode (to disable all software running on it) and try the test again - try speedtest.net too and use a different browser
