No data service

Keep getting regular notifications of No mobile data service... temporarily switched off by you provider. 

It is very annoying as it says this notifications can't be switched off. 

Phone is a fairly new Samsung A7, software is up to date, I've tried all recommendations give to other users with the same problem.

Had to mute my phone last night... please help

Silly question, have you tried performing a manual network search on your handset?

Thanks I will try that.

At the moment it has stopped..... it seems to be worse at the weekends.

The problem has just restarted.... every 5 or 10 minutes.... it's really annoying. 

I've done a manual network search and it shows 4 networks including virgin, which I am on, O2 Vodafone and 3uk, although I'm not sure what should do with that. I am connected to Virgin.

Sorry to hear it's started again. Can you do the manual network search and select either O2, Vodaphone or 3UK, you will get an error stating that you can't connect to this network and will take you off ours. Once this has been done, please re-run the network search and connect to Virgin again.

I've had about a week without problem. I am now at home on the wifi and have just started receiving ( 4 in the last 10mins ) no data service notifications again. 

I will try logging in manually into the mobile network again and see if it stops it again.

Have logged out and logged in again to the Virgin network and I'm still receiving notifications.
