Woke us this morning to no broadband or tv and done an online status check which flagged up amber for TV. Got home this evening and still the same so called Virgin who are now sending an engineer on Thursday but with teacher strikes we need the internet for Wednesday.

ive managed to log in to the hub and change the settings back to router from modem (currently using an ASUS router) and it states no rf signal detected, am I right in assuming this is a cabling issue which I can’t address?  I’ve checked for loose cables and it happened overnight when nothing had been touched. Please help!

Also try the “free & automated” Service Status number - 0800 561 0061 - which usually gives the most up to date info. and tells you of more local issues down to street cab/ postcode level.

What is reported there?

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

When giving my postcode and name it stated tv down but when i call that number it says no issues in the area?

Good Afternoon @Noicenick, and thanks for your post.

I'm sorry to hear of the mixed messages in regards to a local area issue.

Can you please provide us with an update as to how the services are currently performing?

Sadly I've not been able to locate any information on any potential outages.

Kindest regards,
