Im unable to use your news servers as of yesterday SLL unable to connect or contact have vm stopped this service.

I am afraid that the Virginmedia news service is no longer offered and has been withdrawn.

When did this happen ive been using for years only stopped working yesterday. Any advise or option for a new set up. thank you

Thanks for taking the time to post in regards to Usenet  access issues.

 

As advised in the link provided by Graham_A we sent notification of the removal of this service via email back in May of this year. Apologies if these weren't received and for any inconvenience caused.

I use the "eternal september" free news server. It works great for text groups - it wont be good for binaries etc though

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.
