New Super Hub 4, Modem Mode, Port 1, Deco M4, No Internet, Couldn't Get IP Adress

I have tried all the threads on this community and none of them work.

I have a white light (good) on my Deco, so it's connected. It can find the Modem Mode Hub 4 (in Port 1). But it can't get an IP Address.

Everything was fine with my Hub 3, but I've already sent that back to Virgin.

I have tried the whole "do these steps in the exact order of power off, cable in, wait 5 minutes etc".

I have tried resetting is so many times.

My Decos have the most current firmware.

Connect a PC to the modem mode and get a IP then connect PC to Deco login find the MAC clone option and use it to copy your PC MAC to Deco then connect Deco to the hub.

How would I connect my PC to my Deco? Cat5?

But it wouldn't recognise it... Would it?

Should the Deco be in Router mode or Access Point mode?

I've always had them in Access Point.

Just plugged in my PC... How do I "Connect a PC to the modem mode and get a IP"

Where would I find the IP address for the connection?

Also, I'm plugged in directly to the Modem (Hub 4) and my laptop is saying "Unidentified Network: No Internet"

Power off the hub in modem mode for 2mins and try again allow 3mins then unplug replug the Ethernet cable to get a IP.

The Deco should be in router mode then your PC gets a LAN IP to log in

So once I've reset it and replugged my PC in, how do I actually find the IP address? I don't know much about computers/networks.

Also, the Mesh has always been in Access Point mode and worked fine with the Hub3.

If I switch it to Router Mode, it asks for loads of extra stuff and options/settings.

Also, it went Red (the Deco) when I tried that first time, so I can't even get it to connect in Router mode.

I can't see a place on the Deco App to set an IP Address either.

Then you never had your hub in modem mode then.

The Deco in router mode IP should be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

Now connect PC to Deco login with it in router mode any setup needed is DHCP or auto then find the MAC clone option in Deco settings when done connect Deco to hub.

Use Client MAC Address
