Apparently I have to make a new thread to have my problem (which has been highlighted before) to be addressed, so I am posting now. My new hub rebooting around midnight to 1.a.m. nightly. no idea why, but quite annoying as I sometimes work late.

Sorry to hear about your hub rebooting at 1am.
This could be a failed firmware update.
Can you please try a factory reset on the hub.
At the back look for a reset button, Keep its pressed in for at least 30 seconds, allow the hub to reboot, Then let us know if it happens again at 1am.
