My First and Possibly Last Post Disconnects and speed issues

I have tried using your txt chat support 3 times now and its actually impossible to find any of the messages that are sent in response bar the initial viewing which is terrible (awesome if someone could tell me where they are saved / sent too)

I also don’t see why when I pay an expensive contract I should be charged to chat to support and charged to sit in a que  to fix faults  almost beneficial for you to have faults

I have received excellent service from Virgin media for around 7 years

I am the account holder  (im going to scream if I get asked this again its often the last message I receive)

The past 6 months my connection has been suffering various issues and id asumed it was to do with your network upgrade but the problems have persisted

Micro Disconnects
Upload stream getting locked
Speed reductions down to as low as 0.35mbs
Other times it works at its rated speed reliably

makes it unusable for gaming and I also do out of hours oncall for my Hospital IT Role (im an IT infastucture engineer for a 1bn turnover hospital trust so im fairly familer with networking VPN's etc and fault finding)

My modem is a super hub 2
Its currently in modem only mode  with an Asus gaming router attached
(i tried for 5 months without the Asus router it was bought to atempt to fix this issue and improve wifi )

I share the same drop wire  with next door but have done for a long time without issues

I can provide logs both from the speed test application you approve of
Iv done line checks using your own trouble shooting tool

If I cannot get some action I will be forced unfortunately to leave virgin and join another provider as reliability is more important than speed

Hell not even the offer to send a new router and hope the problem goes away has been offerd

If could post the downstream, upstream, network log, maybe setting up a BMQ monitor https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality

As a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share my knowledge. I don't work for Virgin Media.

Re: My First and Possibly Last Post Disconnects and speed issues

Thanks for your post on our Community Forums Weedkillers, and may I offer you a very warm welcome!

Sorry to see you've been having issues with your broadband connection and that you're thinking of leaving us.

Have you been able to run a speed test via the Hub 2 with an Ethernet cable and the hub in modem mode?

We'd need to see if your property is being provided with the speeds that your package offers, if you could also advise us of that, that would also be handy.
