Mesh and Modem Mode Super Hub 3

I have a hub 3 on 500 mpbs service. I have connected an Amplifi Mesh Router to it in modem mode.

There is a printer, PC, and CCTV on the mesh spare ports.

What I want to know is it possible to connect the ethernet cables from the CCTV and PC to the HUB 3 and make those work independently.

CCTV wont do port forwarding on the MESH

PC speed is only 200 mpbs on MESH Router wired and have seen 540 direct to HUB 3 in standard mode.

Need to modem mode to reach difficult parts of house.

Any ideas, maybe would a giga switch on the working port work, even?

Re: Mesh and Modem Mode Super Hub 3

no.
once you put the hub3 on modem mode then it is just a modem and nothing else. it has no routing or switching capabilities.

only 1 port is enabled when in modem mode that and must be connected to your router.
if you need to plug in any more switches then those must be connected to the router, not the modem.

Re: Mesh and Modem Mode Super Hub 3

The Hub in modem mode, the Hub becomes just that, a modem, with no routing capabilities.
You cannot use a switch between the Hub in modem mode and a NAT router as you are only allowed one IP address, thus one NAT interface.
To use the LAN ports the Hub needs to be in router mode.

If what you got is this
https://www.scan.co.uk/products/ubiquiti-amplifi-hd-mesh-wifi-system-router-plus-2x-meshpoints-1750m...
you got 4 ports if you need more get a switch and connect it to them ports.

Thanks to everybody that replied, just wanted to add, the mesh router had a NAT booster tick box and the speed is resolved, but the CCTV issue remains, the Router Support are on it, may be they have a fix.

Page 25 of the user guide explains how to do port forwarding.
