Hello allcry

I am sorry you are having issues paying online

Can I ask what happens and do you get an error message

Gareth_L

at https://payments.virginmedia.com/epayments/notloggedinaccountdetails_ecare.jsf

The error is not the problem.

The BUG is the lack of payment reference number for a bill that is in credit.

..Only by calling virgin customer service can you put money on the account.

It's 2020, and there is no way to push a button and put money in an account.

I could understand if Virgin don't allow this.

But I have seen two guides and a portal, that are of no use.

The one off method that asks for the reference is aimed at customers on paper billing who won't be signed up to My Virgin Media.

If you're signed up to My Virgin Media then you don't need the 12 digit reference, as when you sign in, there is a payment option within the My Bills section, even when you have a Direct Debit set up. This option ties any payment to your account automatically as Virgin Media know who you are:

Although for me for some reason this just comes up with blank page at the moment,  so there may be an error that needs fixing with the option.

I work for Virgin Media - but all opinions posted here are my own

Thank you for trying.

I did not have that link "let's make a payment", as my account was in credit.

My options were:

1. to shove (bank transfer) money into virgin's bank account with my reference and hope it hits my virgin A/C

2. talk to virgin until my account has that "let's make a payment" link.

The problem is now solved as what I wanted to do was pay during "no payment needed" stage. But virgin did not respond. I guest the system is still broken for those that cannot speak, and need to soften bills.

Why would you need to make a payment if you're in credit?
