Internet regularly dropping out

After a few years of near faultless service from VM, the dreaded dropouts have returned. Happening maybe a dozen times an hour at least for maybe 20-30 seconds at a time. Can anyone advise? Tried unplugging and rebooting Super Hub, no improvement.

Here are my stats:

Nothing obviously amiss (to me) in the Hub stats.

So, can we check… are the issues only evident on wifi connections or do you see them at the same times on devices connected on ethernet cables? If you don't know, can you check to help diagnose whether it is just a wifi issue or it could be network connection/Hub related?

What are the various Hub lights showing/doing when this happens?

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

John,

Thanks for having a look for me.

On closer inspection I discovered the Ethernet cable at the back of the computer was ever so slightly loose. On fixing it the issue appears to have gone away.

Apologies for wasting your time, it was the one cable I didn't check. 😳

Hi @Dan_UK, thanks for your confirmation that everything's back to normal for you.

Don't worry at all, you'd be surprised how many people don't think to check this!

If you're experiencing problems in future please don't hesitate to shout once more.

Many thanks
