Internet keeps dropping in the evening/night

Hi,

It's been happening for quite awhile now but in the evenings/nights the internet keeps dropping every so often that it's quite disruptive. During the day it's perfectly fine but evening and nights are bad. Slow speeds and connection drops. There's an issue as I never used to be affected this badly. Can someone help please? Thanks.

Re: Internet keeps dropping in the evening/night

downstream power showing far too high would make sure all white cables (coax) are finger tight... more than likely would need a tech visit to attend to adjust, can wait around a week for the forum staff to reply or could call faults via 150 / 0345 454 1111

Re: Internet keeps dropping in the evening/night

Hi mu123,

Welcome to the forums, I am sorry to see you have been having trouble with your connection.

I have taken a look and your downstream power levels are too high as mentioned by paultechy. I would like to get an engineer out to take a look at this for you.

I will pop you a Pm to get this arranged. Keep an eye out for the Purple Envelope top right hand corner.

Speak to you soon.

Emma

Re: Internet keeps dropping in the evening/night

So I've had an engineer come in last Friday. They replaced our Hub and verified that downstream levels are too high just like the above messages have mentioned. However, since then I am still experiencing issues with the internet dropping and the connection being ever so slow as well in the evenings and nights. Connecting to the Ethernet either has made no difference. There are only two areas within my household that have a deadspot and they're covered by powerline adapters already. I never used to suffer this issue mind you.

I'm also seeing a lot of error, critical and warning logs under Network Log if that means anything.
