Internet keeps disconnecting

Hi All,

I’m having in issue on a daily basis!

My internet disconnects every few hours. I can resolve this by just disconnecting and re connecting however as I’m trying to work from home this is testing my patience.

I have fibre 100mb internet and the app shows me having 9 devices connected although these aren’t all being used at the same time.

Virgin have told me I can only have 6 connected through WiFi? Surely this isn’t correct?!

I had much slower speed internet before having Virgin and never had this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What disconnects exactly?

Do wired devices continue to work?

Hi,

All 9 devices are connected via WiFi,

It only seems to disconnect the iPad and 2 computers as far as we are aware. However the phones can run on the 4g so we might not notice it.

All 3 devices are never being used at the same time.

I am waiting on an Ethernet cable to be delivered.

But either way if it works or not, surely having 9 devices connected to the internet that provides 100+mb per second should be able to cope?

Like I said we don’t use all 9 devices at the same time.

Not when the hub's wifi is built to a poor/low spec, no.

If you’re not happy with the hubs performance you can put it into modem mode and use your own better router or a mesh system instead.

When the internet works it’s brilliant, but it keeps dropping at various times throughout the day for no apparent reason.

It depends if wired connections are dropping as well. Which at this stage you cannot test yet.

You should have had an Ethernet cable come with the hub.
