Internal Network Addresses Hub 5 / TP-Link AC2300

Settling in

Hi all,

I recently changed from a Hub 3 on 350Mb to a hub 5 on 1Gb. On the hub 3 I forwarded 5 ports and I think everyone know DMZ / port forwarding does not work on the hub 5.

I purchased a TP-Link AC2300 and connected it to the hub 5 in modem mode, when first connecting I got a message saying to stop any conflict the router would be set to 192.168.1.1. For some reason (I don't know much about these things) but I now have four devices on 192.168.0.xx and the rest on 192.168.1.xx I set the forwarding rules for one of my devices address range 192.168.1.xx and that now works but the other device is in the range 192.168.0.xx and errors when I try to add the rule, I get ' The IP address and LAN IP address should be in the same subnet'. What do I need to do to get all devices on 192,168.0.xx as some of my devices are hard coded for this range?

Ignore the message and set your own routers address to 192.168.0.1 make sure the Hub5 is in modem mode and the LED is green.

Thanks for your reply, yes, the hub is in modem mode (green light) how do I set the router to be set to 192.168.0.1?

I have no knowledge of that particular router, but usually you go to 192.168.0.1 and get a web page to change its settings.
