Intermittent connection

Yesterday afternoon, the internet went down. All devices refused to connect to wi-fi. Had the weak security message on devices. My Samsung phone and laptop can connect, but have been kicked off a couple of times. iMac, ipad, a printer and my wife's Samsung phone are refusing to connect at all. We've done the WPA switch as recommended. My phone, daughters ipad, Laptop are connected. The old iMac, my wifes phone and new ipad still refuse to connect. My wifes phone 'failed to obtain an IP address. They use different operating systems, which makes no sense as our daughter's 'old' ipad works fine. Any ideas?

Hub 3. We also have a Devolo system across the house to boost signal.

Hello, 

Thank you for that information.

The best thing I would suggest would be to pinhole reset your hub. 

The back of the modem/hub will have small hole please get a paper-clip and reset your modem/hub hold down the button inside for about 30 seconds then release. 

Once you done this then reset your own WIFI reconnect.

Hello, 

Thank you for your reply, 

Please could you reset your hub one last time and reset your other systems also that boost your wifi make sure all other devices switch off including your phones. BEFORE RESET HUB also includes your Virgin Media TV if you have one also.

All devices forget the WIFI SSID name and reconnect again. 

 

reset hub hold reset for less 30 seconds count one and two so one please.
