Hi all,

Unfortunately we have seen a repeat of an earlier issue which is causing intermittent broadband connectivity problems for some Virgin Media customers. We apologise again to those impacted our teams are continuing to work flat out to find the root cause of the problem and fix it.

On our wavelength

Unfortunately this is going on for days now, losing , dropping connection , upload only 0.07?!?

The Service status says :

"We hope to fix this by 27 April at 18:00

Our technician is in your area and is working to fix things.

You might find that your Virgin Fibre, Voice and Virgin TV services are intermittent, with the picture freezing or disappearing now and then. We are sorry and our engineers are working hard to resolve this for you.

We'll send you text updates on this issue."

W12 area, no text updates so far, nothing fixed, is there a tech for real ?

Shall I go outside and check maybe?

Well, now to be fair, the claim that ‘engineers or working hard to fix this’, or ‘a technician is in your area..’, or ‘a technical is on their way’ accompanied by an emoji of someone moving really fast, is, as I’m sure you fully realise, just a figment of the marketing department’s imagination. Although it does give the impression of someone, armed with loads of equipment, barrelling down the motorway, which, of course is the intention, the reality is somewhat different.

Actually no, nobody is currently working hard to fix it, nobody is ‘on their way’, no engineers are on site, looking at a burnt out device and scratching their heads. In reality this job has been added to someone’s work load and in their queue to deal with, when it makes its way to the top of the pile. And assuming that it isn’t too expensive or difficult to fix, then at some point in the future, yes, maybe, it’ll be dealt with, or possibly not? Who can tell?

Hi All,

There are no current ongoing issues with this. If you are still having problems then please make a post on a new thread and our team will be along to help.

Thanks
