Intelligent Wifi & Modem

I have received a letter from Virgin Media stating they have updated my Hub 3 with Intelligent Wifi technology. It is my understanding that if you use the Hub in modem mode (which is they way I prefer it), that the Hub doesn't operate any wifi at all (intelligent or otherwise). Can anyone confirm that is still correct please ?

That's right. The Intelligent WiFi features all require the Hub 3 to be in router mode.
