Installation anomoly?

  • Want to do speed checks around house to order pods or whatever ?
  • Virgin connect app can't find the hub
  • Looks like Hub 5
  • No internal wall socket
  • No ethernet cable to hub
  • Instructions to check installation are therefore meaningless
  • Next steps please. TIA

Whatever is the best option i.e. VM Pods are a royal pain the the rear !

Whilst waiting on pods - Just run speed tests on wifi and ethenet cable connected devices.  Use a computer/laptop and phones at    https://speedtest.samknows.com/ - or -  https://www.speedtest.net/    Make a note of the speeds you are getting and report back here.

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.
