Hub3.0 with Google Nest - restricted speeds

Hi all. Just joined and couldn't find any existing posts that exactly fitted the bill.

In short - Hub3.0 in modem mode, with Google Nest providing WiFi (2 access points). In our previous house everything was fine and getting advertised speeds. In our 'new' house, exact same set up but speeds throttled *consistently* at around 80/90 Mbps. If I restart the system (hub plus Nest) I briefly go back up to where I should (and beyond!) @ 250Mbps but the next day it's back to where it was at 80/90.

VM support won't touch me with a barge pole as I'm not on a supported setup. Haven't tried Google support (yet). Any advice gratefully received! 🙂

Yes the cable to the 1st Nest unit providing the Router functions.

No - it's the same old hub. How do I check link speed, please?

It may be prudent to get a new link cable. Cat 6 will be enough. Keep it as short as possible.

Thanks! Is that Cat6 link cable between the Hub3 and the Nest point? (sorry to ask silly questions!)
