Hub 4 modem mode

I have the Hub 4 in modem mode with an ASUS router connected to it.  I've read that only the ethernet port on the Hub 4 connected to the router is active and the unused ethernet ports are disabled.  Does anyone know if that means they are completely shut off so that both power and ground are disconnected?

The reason I'm asking is that I have the Nordost grounding system used in audio set-ups to provide a ground for DC components in a signal chain and I have that connected to my router (and preamp and power amp).  I want to work out if I can connect it to the Hub 4 as well which would work if they are on the same circuit as the active port (but no point if the unused ports are completely disconnected in modem mode).

The unused ports aren't physically disconnected in modem mode.

Thanks
