Hub 4 and connected devices

Me again with another post, sorry!

So after having an issue with the speed to the hub not being 1gb this has been sorted after a couple of engineers came out, so thanks for all the help

I am logging in the hub via web browser and when I look at connected devices there are a few devices called unknown and also the laptop I am on does not appear?

Also when I change a device to a laptop/mobile/desk top etc it does not save it and also does not save the name if I change it from unknown

If I was to reset the hub would my 3 boxes all connect automatically? I could then connect each device to see what they are called?

So an update!!! Had another engineer come out and he has made the upstream slightly higher and the downstream lower, I think that is right!!!
Issue seems to still be the same!! Also my pod no longer works and for some reason can not get onto samknows real speed to do a test? Goes the webpage but just sits there then one minute it does connect where as before engineer came it connected ok all the time!! 
Do you think Virgin would swap out router? Just done some speed tests in last hour and with not moving or changing anything one minute I am getting 205 then getting 446!!!!!
Has anyone got any ideas? Is it worth me getting a TPLink decor, the engineer recommended them

So this is a couple of speed test just done! Can not do them on SamKnows as not connecting to it!! This can not be right? From 286 to 15.4!!

Wired speed is good, just the wi-fi

As I have said I know that wi-fi speeds vary etc but I am in the same room with same devices etc connected so would expect if to be about the same?

Also do not understand why since engineer been samknows not working and the pods I have got are not working either 

Are you sure he didn’t swap the hub out already?

Defiantly sure did not swap out the hub

Pods should still work then.

Are the lights just flashing on the pods?
