Hub 3 red light ALWAYS on

Dear Sir,

I have been a VM customer for many years.

I notice my Virgin Media Hub 3 has a problem: its red light on the front is ALWAYS on. It has been like that for months. I  have restarted it many times but the problem is still there. 

I get worried when I read some posts here which suggest the red light means overheating and can be dangerous.

Indeed I can feel the hub's base is very warm. 

May I please ask you to arrange a replacement of the Hub 3? Or, please arrange a technician to visit my house and check the equipment and network. 

I think it is a serious problem. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks a lot.

I am very sorry to hear your Hub is experiencing an issue, we will be able to help. 

As you have advised, this can be an indication of over heating so whilst we assist you, please ensure the Hub is in a well ventilated area and powered off overnight.
